The West End star is to play Mrs Swabb in the first London revival of Habeas Corpus in 25 years.
Directed by Patrick Marber, the comedy is set in the home of the Wicksteeds, where there seems to be a general obsession with finding sexual pleasures.
Habeas Corpus follows Dr. Arthur Wicksteed, a general practitioner who treats his patient Felicity Rumpers in 1960s Brighton. At the same time, family, friends and sexual pleasures rule over decision making. The Habeas Corpus play is based on the legal term of the same name, which translates as “you shall have the body.”
Also announced in this initial casting spree are Kirsty Besterman (Constance), Jasper Britton (Arthur), Matthew Cottle (Cannon), Thomas Josling (Dennis), Caroline Langrishe (Lady Rumpers), Catherine Russell (Muriel) and Abdul Salis (Mr Shanks).
Habeas Corpus is at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 3 December '21 - 26 February '22.
